Security Systems, Access control Systems

The New age electronic devices offer multiple solutions. Example: If you install an access control system the device would not only enable to restrict entry of unauthorized personnel but will also help you to capture the in time and out time of those who are authorized to enter, if it is an office the same can be used as for recording the attendance of staff.

Biometrics and Proximity / Access cards are the most common access control systems. In biometrics even the human finger print can be used to enable or disable physical access to any particular zone. In the proximity / access card system an access card will be provided which will have the information pertaining to the holder. The above systems allow you to provide entry restrictions pertaining to the role played by the holder. Example: Only the Systems engineer will have access to the server room.

CCTV Cameras:
This product will be useful for companies which do not have any branches or for the residential purpose where remote monitoring is not required. Multiple cameras can be installed and they will be connected to a single or multiple monitors situated in the same premises.

IP Cameras:
If there are more than one branch for an Organisation and if it requires for centralized monitoring the IP Cameras offer solution. Though the CCTV cameras can also be connected to the Internet the Bandwidth consumption will be more. The IP cameras can be installed in the branch offices and can be accessed from a remote location. These products are very useful for Banks, chain of stores etc..

Now that every office is having an internet connectivity, remote monitoring is possible. Few mobile handsets support live streaming of the video. When you wish to show a live presentation about your office or a manufacturing unit or even if you wish to view your kids at home, this feature comes for your help

EPABX

EPABX: Stands for - electronic private automatic branch exchange. In olden days the Telephone Operators had to manually connect (plug) the calls in the exchanges, both in the exchanges run by the Telephone service provider and in the Business units where multiple telephone lines where used.
The advancement in technology has helped reducing the manual effort involved in the process of call routing. The EPABX functions as a automated exchange and provides advanced options like IVR, systematic call routing etc. along with saving space and money.

Seen below are the old(left) and new(right) PBX units:

The EPABX Systems have evolved a lot in the past few years. The EPABX seen above (right) is a Hybrid IP PBX system, can be called as future ready! Any company would install a product for its current requirement and when there is an expansion they would have to redo a lot and the EPABX is an exception for this. The current models available support expansion and don't require replacement.

These systems also provide more features like:
  • Voicemail
  • Call Management Software
  • Cordless Telephony (DECT)
  • Integrated Headsets
  • Computer Telephony Integration (CTI)
  • Remote Branches and Home Worker Solution
Earlier almost all the above features required separate hardware and softwares (with high budgets) Now these features comes as a built in feature and help you save to a greater extent.

IPPBX: The next generation of Telecommunication will be IP based. This would reduce the recurring cost of every organisation to a greater extent. Assume two branches located in different parts of the world, the cost involved to call between each will be very high if they use the service of the Telecom service provider. The solution would be VoIP (Voice over IP). Both the branches should use IPPBX, this way both the branches can call the extensions in the other branch without dialing any STD or ISD codes / Country codes. Using IP solutions even the amount spent on Overseas calls can be reduced to a greater extent. These solutions will be are opted by the MNCs and the ITES sector.
